Heliotrope Journey: Passion of Rancor Prologue

Play as heroes Florentin Chinezu or Angela Pendragon as they venture to Castle Drăculești to evade capture at the hands of soldiers sent to remote Wallachia to arrest dissidents. To add to their woes, days earlier, Florentin's brother, Palaeologus, was taken in by Klaudia, a vampiric seductress plotting to restore Vlad Dracula's strength. He has instructed her to seek out the elder brother and prey on his bent-up anger over having to give up his pursuit of adventure to look after Florentin. By nurturing that longing to escape, she had him played like a fiddle. It was not long after their disappearance did Vlad Dracula's army of otherworldly monsters invade the village just when the conducător's forces arrived. Florentin grabs his weapons and sets off into the ravaged streets to find Castle Drăculești. Angela is the only member of her resistance group to have gotten away from the raid that took place at an abandoned church where they were hiding. She is convinced that Vlad Dracula may have taken some of her comrades prisoner so she follows a cambion through the village in the hope that he may unknowingly lead her to the castle. When the two heroes find each other, they may realize that they share a common goal and that time is short to see it through.
